Join the ICN2 with a Junior Leader “la Caixa” postdoctoral fellowship

The ICN2 is a growing research centre with a promising future. Join our community and boost your career through the new Junior Leader “la Caixa” postdoctoral fellowships, some of which are specifically aimed at researchers looking to develop a research project at centres with the Severo Ochoa distinction of excellence.

The ICN2 community is growing stronger with the incorporation of new talent. Initiatives such as the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), which brings together some of the most prestigious Catalan research centres, stand in demonstration of the excellence of our institute. In 2014 it was accredited by the Spanish Government as a Severo Ochoa Excellence Centre, reinforcing the potential of its research and granting access to specific funding opportunities. The new postdoctoral fellowships programme, Junior Leader “la Caixa”, is a great opportunity for young researchers around the world to become part of this success story.

The Junior Leader “la Caixa” postdoctoral fellowships programme is aimed at hiring excellent researchers—of any nationality—who wish to continue their research career in Spanish territory in any discipline. Sponsored by Obra Social ”la Caixa”, the objectives of this programme are to foster high-quality, innovative research in Spain and to support the best scientific talents by providing them with an attractive, competitive environment in which to conduct excellent research.

It offers 20 postdoctoral fellowships for researchers who have not lived in Spain for more than 12 months over the past 3 years (Incoming) and 10 postdoctoral fellowships for researchers who have lived in Spain for more than 12 months over the past 3 years (Retaining). The Incoming subcategory is designed specifically for researchers looking to develop a research project at accredited Severo Ochoa or María de Maeztu centres of excellence, like the ICN2.

Join the ICN2 community and benefit from our continuous professional development and other training programmes that will help you fulfil your research objectives.
